This campaign was carried out after the Onana Foundation, through its agent in Spain Jordi, proposed to Surgeons in Action a pediatric surgery campaign in Cameroon in February 2022. It took 2 months to prepare it after recruiting a group of 3 surgeons, 3 anesthesiologists and 3 nurses plus a pediatrician, to get the necessary material, the VISA, the invitation letter and the permission to work in Cameroon.

We dealt with Dr. William Ngatchou Djomo, director of the “Center de Medicine du Sport” (CMS), who was looking for patients. During the month of March we exchanged messages with photos and medical information of some complex patients.

Finally the campaign was fixed from April 17 to 28.

PATIENTS: 247 children under 18 years of age and 2 adults were operated on in two hospitals located in Yaounde.
