Our Foundation is honoured and proud to announce that our beloved and admired Prof. Andrew N. Kingsnorth has received the ACS/Pfizer Surgical Volunteerism and Humanitarian Award.
This prestigious award, given by the American College of Surgeons, was presented at an official ceremony during the last Clinical Congress of the ACS, held in Boston, on 23 October 2023.

Our President, Dr. Teresa Butrón Vila, attended the ceremony at the personal invitation of Prof. Andrew Kingsnorth, a close friend of hers. She also represented the Surgeons in Action Foundation, which received recognition from Andrew himself during his speech, after 12 years of mutual collaboration between our Foundation and the Hernia International Foundation that he presides.
